Man has no regrets defending Oklahoma City pharmacy

In Can Ya Dig It? Justice Sweet Justice on May 23, 2009 at 4:30 pm

I love justice. I really do. I love it when the good guy rises up and is able to take control over a thug, such as in the story below.

Jerome Ersland was back at work Thursday filling prescriptions and hoping that by taking the life of a 16-year-old boy two days earlier, he had saved others.

Rubbing an oversized bandage on his left forearm, where he said he was grazed by a robber’s bullet, Ersland related details of what he said was a highly organized hit on the Reliable Discount Pharmacy.

“I just regret anybody would get killed,” Ersland said. “But if I wouldn’t have been here, there would have been three people killed — the other pharmacist and the two techs.”

He also recalls the angry voices of people who gathered outside the pharmacy Tuesday night, shouting that he was a racist who unnecessarily took a life of the Seeworth Academy charter school student, Antwun Parker.

“There were a lot of black people gathered out there yelling and everything at my boss,” Ersland said.

After the pharmacy near SW 59 and Pennsylvania was robbed two years ago, the owner installed new security measures to try to make sure his employees would never again be forced to a back room and pistol-whipped.
“We have a very good security system,” Ersland said, motioning to the magnetic door locks that won’t let anyone in or out of the store without permission. “The door locks, and they (robbers) knew that. They had cased it because they knew exactly what time to hit us when we’d have all of our narcotics out and our money out.”

About 10 minutes before 6 p.m., Ersland said, two robbers wearing ski masks waited for someone to leave the pharmacy and then grabbed the open door and threw down a board to stop the door from closing.

The robbers went in cursing and yelling, ordering employees to give them money and drugs, Ersland said.

Two women who were working behind the counter ran for a back room where they would be safe, but Ersland said he couldn’t run. Ersland said he’s a veteran with disabilities from wounds he received in Operation Desert Storm, wears a cumbersome back brace and just had his latest back surgery six weeks ago.

“All of a sudden, they started shooting,” he said. “They were attempting to kill me, but they didn’t know I had a gun. They said, ‘You’re gonna die.’ That’s when one of them shot at me, and that’s when he got my hand.”

Ersland said he was thrown against a wall, but managed to go for the semiautomatic in his pocket.

“And that’s when I started defending myself,” he said. “The first shot got him in the head, and that slowed him down so I could get my other gun.”

But as one robber hit the floor, Ersland said, a bullet from the other robber whizzed past his ear.

The pharmacist said he then got his second gun from a nearby drawer, a Taurus “Judge.”

After he had the big gun, Ersland said, the second robber ran.

But as he started to chase after the second robber, Ersland said, he looked back to see the 16-year-old he had shot in the head getting up again. Ersland said he then emptied the Kel-Tec .380 into the boy’s chest as he kept going after the second robber.

“I went after the other guy, but he was real fast and I’m crippled,” Ersland said.

Outside the pharmacy, he said he saw what he thought was a third black male in a car with the engine running and reaching for what appeared to be a shotgun.

“I pulled out my ‘Judge’ and pointed it right between his eyes and he floored it,” Ersland said.

Because of the sensitive nature of the investigation, police said they could not confirm any of Ersland’s story, including whether Ersland was shot, whether the robbers ever fired on him or even if Parker was armed.
On Thursday, police were still looking for the second robber, described as a black man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighing about 175 pounds. The man was last seen wearing a red shirt and dark pants.

A man was arrested about a block away after crashing a stolen car that fit the description Ersland gave, but police said the man has not been linked to the robbery.

When he went back in the pharmacy, Ersland said, he called police.
“I asked if the girls were all right, and they were in the back crying,” he said. “I was glad to know they were alive. We were lucky and I’m glad I defended us, because I feel that a person has a right to defend themselves at their home or at their work. People deserve to be safe and not be afraid of people that want to take money when they don’t work for it.”

That’s what the Second Amendment and the state’s “concealed carry” license are for, he said.

“Fortunately, God made them miss me, except for this minor scratch,” Ersland said.

“I was able to return fire and protect the girls’ lives. God was helping me.”

Imagine this: did John Lennon make pact with Satan?

In Uncategorized on May 15, 2009 at 10:15 pm

In an article found here

we are told that John Lennon made a pact with Satan which could explain their success. I would like to believe that their success had to do with their musical abilities. They did have a sound and musical ability that no one else has been able to create. To this day–right or wrong–I am still a big Beatles fan. I can’t say whether it is true or not, or even if I believe everything written. Yet I do find it interesting.]

WASHINGTON – The Beatles meteoric rise, unprecedented in popular culture and unrivaled nearly four decades after the band broke up, is at least partly explained, says a new book, by a pact John Lennon made with the Devil.

In “The Lennon Prophecy,” author Joseph Niezgoda reveals that Lennon himself, obsessed with the occult, magic, numerology and being bigger than Elvis Presley, confided in his friend Tony Sheridan that he made such a deal. The book also makes the case that the “death clues” long associated with Paul McCartney were actually subliminal messages hinting at Lennon’s fate.

Written by a lifelong Beatles fan and musician, the book hypothesizes the pact was made just before the band experienced its first major successes and ended 20 years later with Lennon’s assassination in New York by Mark David Chapman, who later claimed to have demons exorcized from him while serving his sentence for murder in Attica State Prison.

“Chapman said that as the last demon left his body he was given the reason for his possession,” Niezgoda told WND. “It was to make a show of Satan’s great power in the world using John Lennon’s murder as the vehicle. I’ve always held an intuitive belief … that the true author of this story is Satan and that I am only the messenger.”

Of course, many will reject the notion that there is a real spirit called Satan. Others will scoff at the notion that people can make pacts with him that can result in real-world results.

So Niezgoda devotes a chapter to what may surprise many readers as fairly well-documented historical Satanic pacts – including the case of Johann Faust, who, in his Renaissance Age period, achieved fame and fortune perhaps equal to Lennon and the Beatles four centuries later. He, too, met an untimely, mysterious and grotesquely inexplicable death 20 years later.

While Faust boasted of performing more miracles than Jesus Christ, Lennon created controversy by boasting that his band was more famous than Jesus Christ.

Conservative Hippie>>>[Only God knows John Lennon’s heart when he said what he said. Unfortunately for that time, the Beatles were more popular than Jesus among the youth; as it was a time of great rebellion. Much like today–yet today is much worse. Was Lennon merely stating the obvious or was he boasting that they had become more popular than Jesus? Only God knows.]

“If John had entered into a 20-year pact with the Devil for wealth and world fame, that contract ended on December 8, 1980, with his violent death,” said Niezgoda. “Counting back 20 years, did anything unusual in Beatles history occur in December 1960?”

In fact, it did, Niezgoda recalls. On Dec. 27, 1960, the Beatles played the Town Hall Ball Room in Litherland, England.

“It was said that following this single night’s performance, the Beatles never looked back,” recalls Niezgoda. “Each of the Beatles remembers this night as the turning point in their careers.”

Immediately following this memorable performance, the Beatles began playing in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, where they became a local phenomenon. Then they moved on to Hamburg, where German audiences went wild.

That gig also marked the beginning of Lennon’s avowedly anti-Christian behavior. In the book “The Love You Make” by Peter Brown, he recounts how Lennon donned a dog collar made of paper, cut out a paper cross and began preaching to the Hamburg audience – drawing a mocking picture of Jesus hanging on the cross wearing a pair of bedroom slippers.

Later, also in Germany, on Good Friday, Lennon targeted a group of nuns with a life-size effigy of Jesus on the cross hanging from his balcony.

“As the sisters gazed in astonishment at this sacrilegious display, John started pelting them with Durex condoms filled with water,” wrote biographer Albert Goldman.

Pete Best, the original drummer with the group, also witnessed such behavior and wrote about it in his own book describing how Lennon urinated on another group of nuns from his balcony while proclaiming, “Raindrops from heaven!”

These were just some of the ways Lennon confronted and antagonized Christian worshippers – for seemingly no reason other than his own amusement.

The book devotes a full chapter to Lennon’s childhood of tragedy, disappointment and sadness. His mother, Julia, and his father, Freddie, fought over custody of young John. At 5 years old, he was forced to decide which parent he would choose. He first chose his father. But when his mother asked him if he was sure, he ran to her.

“John never forgot the horror of that incident,” writes Niezgoda. “It left a permanent scar and great feelings of insecurity, and nearly 20 years would pass before he would see his father again.”

Life with Julia Lennon was no bargain. He was often left home alone and found it difficult to sleep. Lennon later recalled that she was “not prostituting for money but rather for silk stockings.”

At age 6, Lennon began running away from home to stay with his Aunt Mimi. He learned which trolleys to take by the quality of the black leather seats, he explained.

“To this day, I’m fond of black leather,” he would say later. “I find it comforting.”

Sometimes he would be picked up by adults concerned for his welfare and taken to a local police station.

“I could never find the right words to explain my situation,” he would say.

Lennon’s troubles continued through schooling – taking little interest in classroom learning, showing contempt for teachers, skipping class, smoking and swearing, cheating on exams, stealing candy from other children and pilfering cigarettes to make money.

He was thrown out of religious chorus for substituting obscene words in hymns.

Another biographer wrote: “John regularly poked fun at church dignitaries, parodied hymns and drew blasphemous cartoons of Christ on the cross in a way that only the once-faithful can.”

Perhaps to compensate for his tough childhood, Lennon became consumed with becoming both rich and famous.

Pete Best recalled how Lennon would say he was going to get to the top – one way or another.

“If we have to be bent or con people, then that’s what we’ll have to do to get there,” Best quoted Lennon as saying. “It doesn’t matter what it takes to get to the top. It might cause some heartache, but once I’m up there, it’ll be a different kettle of fish. Yes, he did say, ‘I’ and not ‘we.’ That was the real John Lennon, brilliant, amusing but ruthless.”

Niezgoda cites the unprecedented and unsurpassed “mania” that surrounded the Beatles as one of the most intriguing clues suggesting something supernatural about their career.

“John, Paul, George and Ringo were highly talented writers and musicians – as all too well evidenced by their solo careers,” Niezgoda told WND. “But what was it at the beginning that set them apart from their contemporaries? What was it that lifted them in a few short years from utter obscurity to become the greatest show on Earth. When they traveled to Australia in 1964, what earthly power caused 400,000 fans to gather outside their hotel to merely catch a glimpse of the four young boys from Liverpool? How does one logically account for 20 number one hit records in a brief period of six years?

“Nothing before or since has come close to equaling the rapid and widespread emotional pandemic frenzy surrounding the Beatles. I can go on indefinitely listing their unearthly accomplishments but that is not providing an explanation for it. Trying to explain the source of the Beatles fame and fortune is like trying to define magic.”

At the peak of their popularity, Beatles fans became obsessed with what appeared to be clues in their music about a death within the band. At the time, the focus was on speculation that McCartney had been killed in a car crash and replaced with a lookalike.

Not even a press conference by Paul could persuade devotees of the clues that he was, in fact, the real deal. It all seemed silly after McCartney’s long and illustrious solo career took off.

“The suspicion, however, was not without merit,” explains Niezgoda. “The clues were there, and too numerous to be ignored. They just needed to be viewed through a different lens to create not a picture of a past conspiracy, but a future tragedy. When examined as a possible prophecy, the clues appear to be quite clearly not about Paul, but about John Lennon.”

Niezgoda is convinced the Beatles had supernatural help – not only with their rise to the top, but with these “clues” that seemed so persuasive that something was not right within the Beatles. He’s not happy about his conclusion. In fact, as a lifelong Beatles fan, he seems deeply conflicted.

“I have always had to deal with the constant conflict of my love for their music and the evil that I perceive surrounds it,” he told WND. “The only difference is that I have tried to define or make sense of it with the help of this book.”

Congressman: ‘Deviancy’ protected by ‘hate crimes’

In Warnings to America on May 13, 2009 at 6:32 pm

Warns ‘anything you imagine’ coming under ‘Pedophile Protection Act’

A congressman from Iowa says he fought the so-called “Hate Crimes” bill as it moved through the U.S. House, because it essentially will provide a level of protection for sexual deviancy in the United States that is not afforded any other behavior.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, was interviewed today by WND columnist Janet Porter, who also heads the Faith2Action Christian ministry.

“Americans need to know what’s going on here in Washington,” he said, “when we get these radical positions … the public needs to know.”

He said the bill provides protection for those with “sexual orientation” issues but then doesn’t define the terms. So he said it’s apparent that all of the 547 ‘philias’ – or as he described them “deviancies” – would be protected under the law.

“Anything you can imagine, no matter how revolting it might,” King said.

He said he suggested an amendment that would make it clear pedophilia was not a protected “sexual orientation” under the law, but the Democrats, who are in the majority, refused to accept that.

“It was a breath-taking thing,” King said. “Their strategy was that if they exempted pedophiles, there were a number of other proclivities they would have to exempt as well.”

King also warned the bill provides federal money to have the Justice Department help local law enforcement agencies enforce their own “hate crimes” laws.

“A pastor might be preaching from Leviticus or Romans; that could be a direct violation of a city ordinance,” he said. “Under Title 18 in the federal code, if you are shown to aid, abet, to counsel or to in some way influence one of those ‘incidents,’ you are as guilt as the principal,” he said.

“We could see pastors thrown in jail for a decade for the content of their sermons,” he warned.

King said he read part of George Orwell’s “1984” into the congressional record:

“This is what was written in 1949: ‘We don’t care about any overt action, it’s the thought we care about because if we control the thought, we control the action,”‘ he said.

“That’s where we are today,” he warned.

A hearing on the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, already approved by the U.S. House as H.R. 1913 and pending in the Senate as S. 909, is expected in the Senate Judiciary Committee soon. It’s been described by Shawn D. Akers, policy analyst with Liberty Counsel, as a bill to create penalties against “victims” who were chosen based on an “actual or perceived … sexual orientation, gender identity.”

According to Rep. Louis Gohmert, R-Texas, in a nation of more than 300 million people, there were only 242 recorded assaults on record under the cited “epidemic” against homosexuals.

WND has reported multiple times on the developing legislation – a plan that failed under President Bush when he determined it was unnecessary and most likely unconstitutional.

Radio talk icon Rush Limbaugh has warned his audience about the advancing threat of “hate crimes” laws.

“Some people are going to be put in jail for things that they say,” he said. “Hate crime legislation. That’s where they determine what’s in your mind when you commit a crime. That’s when they decide what you were thinking … If you were thinking unapproved thoughts, that would make the crime you committed even worse.”

“For those who say the ‘Pedophile Protection Act’ isn’t accurate here’s a bit of a review. In committee, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, offered the amendment to exclude pedophiles from receiving elevated protection in the House version of the bill … [suggesting] ‘The term sexual orientation as used in this act or any amendments to this act does not include pedophilia,'” said Porter.

“It’s straightforward. And it was rejected,” Porter said.

Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., confirmed that anyone with any “disability or all of these ‘philias’ and fetishes and ‘isms’ … need not live in fear.”

William Greene of “Critics say that would allow for prosecutions against pastors who preach a biblical ban on homosexuality if someone who hears such a message later is accused of any crime. A pastor’s sermon could be viewed as ‘hate speech’ under this legislation if it’s heard by someone who then commits an act of violence against someone based on ‘sexual orientation.’ The pastor could be prosecuted for ‘conspiracy to commit a hate crime,'” according

The Institute on Religion and Democracy joined in the campaign of concern.

“All victims of violence are already rightly protected by law, no matter the motive of their assailants,” said IRD President Mark Tooley.

WND reported when Texas Rep. Louis Gohmert said the only chance to defeat the legislation was for a massive outpouring of opposition from the American people.

“If you guys don’t raise enough stink there’s no chance of stopping it,” Gohmert said on a radio program.

“It’s entirely in the hands of your listeners and people across the country,” Gohmert said in an interview with Porter. “If you guys put up a strong enough fight, that will give backbone enough to the 41 or 42 in the Senate to say we don’t want to have our names on that.”

President Obama, supported strongly during his campaign by homosexual advocates, appears ready to respond to their desires.

“I urge members on both sides of the aisle to act on this important civil rights issue by passing this legislation to protect all of our citizens from violent acts of intolerance,” he said.

Letter to Obama

In Let it be Known!, Obama, Revolution of Resistance on May 11, 2009 at 12:02 pm

I did not write the following, but I wish I had. It conveys thoughts that many of us have. Might not be a bad idea to mail it to him? Bold emphasis mine.

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

 Mr. Obama:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir.  Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America.  You are responsible to the citizens of the United States.  You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world.  Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe?  Are you brain dead?  What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about?  Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?

Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country?  Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States?  This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage.  Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans.  Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia. You don’t show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia.  How dare you, sir!  How dare you!

You can’t find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don’t want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey.  You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves.  What’s the matter with you?

I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.

You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses.  What do you intend to do about them?  Anything?  I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members – on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves?  I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus.  I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer.  You haven’t said anything about that.  Who authorized that?  I surely didn’t!

Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that’s $45 million more than the AIG bonuses.  In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million – not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven’t you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do.  We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.  I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities.  I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

Taxes are the most oppressive device conceived by men to control other men.

Money in the hands of liberal politicians is like heroin in an addict’s needle.

Life begins at conception.

Bill and Hillary Clinton are among history’s most corrupt people.

Barack Obama is the first Communist president.

The traditions for which Republicans historically stand are the glue that binds Americans together.

The United States of America is the greatest country in the history of the world.

Our borders should be closed until further notice.

Diversity is wrong, unity is right.

Education is all-important, but not all education is important.

Teachers need to teach their subjects instead of their politics.

For a government to take in more money than it needs is criminal.

For a government to spend more money than it has is destructive.

For a government to keep a surplus instead of returning it to taxpayers is grounds for dissolving that government.

Judges should judge, not legislate.

No judge should have a lifelong term.

All judges should be periodically judged.

Whites don’t owe blacks reparations since the debt was paid in full with blood.

Imposition of a reprehensible lifestyle on children in the name of tolerance is an abomination.

The media is by and large liberal, it lies and distorts regularly, and is the primary cause for the murder of America’s soul.

Believing in Jesus Christ is a good thing. Mentioning His name every so often in prayer is even better.

Building a better life for our children is the parent’s responsibility, not the government’s.

Americans who constantly condemn America are not Americans.

Life is what you make it, not what the government makes for you.

Do not be fooled by the rhetoric and cowardice of the left.

Obama, the transcendent, messianic, FDResque figure is more akin to Goldstein, the minister of propaganda [in George Orwell’s, “1984”] who with the help of his fascist legions spent day and night following one credo: Your liberty, your money, your property, your soul all belong to the State (federal government).
~ From “Thou shall not lie”

What do you call a man, a leader, a president of the greatest country in the history of the world that daily ignores constitutional strictures like separation of powers, which limits executive power? What do you call a pathological narcissist that daily creates vast, new totalitarian powers for himself by executive decree while the slavish Democrats, the irrelevant Republicans and the servile liberal media bow to his every will? How would you characterize Wall Street, private corporations, education, medicine, housing and energy who collectively tremble in fear if they don’t obey his latest unconstitutional commands, that they will be the next recipient of his vengeful wrath?

The recent headlines on told the grim tale of Big Brother 2009, aka Obama Inc.:

“Number of unemployed getting benefits climbs to record 8.9%”
“Obama vows to retrain”
BIG BUDGET BLOWOUT: $3,400,000,000,000.00 SPENDS $11,300 FOR EACH AMERICAN”
“Massachusetts welfare recipients provided cars at taxpayers expense”
“GM post $6 billion loss for first quarter”
“National bailout agency for U.S. cities”
“Computer sold on eBay ‘had details of top secret missile defense system'”
“Chinese and U.S. ships clash – for fifth time”

To a rational person who loves America and respects the traditions of the Founding Fathers, anti-federalism and executive restraint, the headlines are gut-wrenching, but to a proud fascist like President B. Hussein Obama, those dire headlines above read like the soothing, euphonious strains of a Wagnerian opera. And like Wagner’s primo uomo, “Siegfried,” a man who literally went to hell and back to learn how to fear, only more socialism, anarchy and nihilism can set the proper pretext for this Grand Finale. Only in Chaos Theory can the stage be adequately prepared for Obama Inc. to appear stage left to save America. Yet there is no salvation, no redemption – only a hellish, eternal nightmare that he himself created!

What is Obama Inc. (incorporated)? Like the title suggests, it is our president’s systematic, comprehensive plan to takeover and dominate every conceivable aspect of our lives from the cradle to the grave. But more diabolically, Obama Inc. seeks to have omnipotent, irrevocable dictatorial power over every American citizen. I call this aspect of Obama Inc. the Democrat Eternity Act (DEA).

Obama is utterly a revolutionary figure following a long, ignoble tradition of former great tyrants like Nebuchadnezzar, Caesar, Muhammad, Henry VIII, Napoleon, Mussolini, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Putin, Chavez and others. Obama Inc. thinks in grand, over-arching, totalizing themes rather than simply single programs as Clinton did with gays in the military or national health care in 1993. No, no, no – one program, even one-seventh of America’s entire multi-trillion dollar economy, is much too small for Obama Inc. to be bothered with.

In an earlier article I wrote last year titled, “How Thomas Hobbes is helping destroy America,” I predicted that through the natural development of ideas over time, society, culture, law, politics, economics, philosophy and all disciplines of knowledge would soon be exploited by a future demagogue that would transform America into a dictatorship.

I wrote:

After War World II, the Supreme Court’s liberal view of a “living Constitution” and “evolving standards of decency” led to radical judicial activist opinions in the areas of racial segregation, civil rights, separation of church and state and the so-called “right to privacy” – in cases like Everson v. Board of Education (1947), Brown v. Board of Education (1954), Gideon v. Wainwright (1963), Griswold v. Connecticut (1965) and Miranda v. Arizona (1966) – leading to an entire cottage industry of new rights like the Court’s abortion finding in Roe v. Wade (1973) and 30 years later to the constitutional right to homosexual sodomy in Lawrence v. Texas (2003).
You can thank Thomas Hobbes for elevating our racialist, humanist, childish, sexual and vulgar desires to the legitimate level of constitutional rights.

According to a recent Supreme Court opinion in California, homosexual marriage has once again been raised to the standard of a constitutional “right” by this overtly activist court over the explicit will of the people. It will be interesting where this and numerous other hot button issues takes society as courts grapple with “rights” vs. “privileges,” “property rights” vs. “liberty interests,” etc. Has this “due process explosion” of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, as federal judge Henry Friendly opined, fundamentally altered the ability of government to manage schools, bureaucracy, agencies, culture, society … ourselves? I think it has.

One hundred ten days after taken the oath as president of the United States, who would have thought that Obama Inc., led by this unremarkable pol, this intellectually vacuous fascist from Harvard, could have achieved so much, so soon, yet here we are in the midst of a burgeoning totalitarian State equal in every respect but the year of George Orwell’s “1984” – nevertheless we appear too stupid to realize where we are.

Ignorance (I don’t know) and apathy (I don’t care) are the twin narcotic drugs Obama Inc. has used to lobotomize America over the past 100 days, but his Machiavellian tactics go further back 100 years to Woodrow Wilson, who, according to Jonah Goldberg’s excellent book, “Liberal Fascism,” was America’s first fascist president. Interestingly, Wilson’s fascism (1913) predated Lenin’s Bolshevik Revolution (1917) by four years and Mussolini’s fascism (1922) by nine years.

Finally, precursors of Obama Inc. could be heard 330 years ago in the writings of the great English political philosopher Thomas Hobbes (1588–1679) who prophesied a tyrannical political figure like Obama in his magnum opus, “Leviathan” (1651) and summarized his entire oeuvre in one telling, succinct last utterance from his deathbed – A great leap into the dark.

Unless this narcissist, Manchurian Candidate is stopped, America will soon be plunged into a new Dark Age called Obama Inc.

‘Hate crimes’ fate now up to people

In Obama's Dream; Our Nightmare, Revolution of Resistance on May 9, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Article gotten here:

A Texas member of Congress is warning Americans that unless they act – and act now – the nation soon will have a “hate crimes” law that actually was written so that it protects pedophiles and others with alternative sexual orientations such as voyeurism and exhibitionism.

“If you guys don’t raise enough stink there’s not chance of stopping it,” U.S. Rep. Louis Gohmert said today on a radio program with WND columnist Janet Porter. She’s the chief of the Faith2Action Christian ministry and has coordinated a campaign to allow citizens to send overnight letters to members of the U.S. Senate expressing opposition to the plan.

Already well over 2,000 people have utilized the procedures and more than 200,000 letters have been dispatched to members of the Senate.

“It’s entirely in the hands of your listeners and people across the country,” Gohmert told Porter. “If you guys put up a strong enough fight, that will give backbone enough to the 41 or 42 in the Senate to say we don’t want to have our names on that.”

An analysis by Shawn D. Akers, policy analyst with Liberty Counsel, said the proposal, formally known as H.R. 1913, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act bill in the House and S. 909 in the Senate, would create new federal penalties against those whose “victims” were chosen based on an “actual or perceived… sexual orientation, gender identity.”

He warned Porter during the interview that even her introduction of him, and references to the different sexual orientations, could be restricted if the plan becomes law.

“You can’t talk like that once this becomes law,” he said.

He said the foundational problem with the bill is that it is based on lies: it assumes there’s an epidemic of crimes in the United States – especially actions that cross state lines – that is targeting those alternative sexual lifestyles.

“When you base a law on lies, you’re going to have a bad law,” he said. “This ‘Pedophilia Protection Act,’ a ‘hate crimes’ bill, is based on the representation that there’s a epidemic of crimes based on bias and prejudice. It turns out there are fewer crimes now than there were 10 years ago.”

He said he fought in committee and in the House, where it was approved 249-175, to correct some of the failings, including his repeated requests for definitions in the bill for terms such as “sexual orientation.”

Majority Democrats refused, he said. He said that leaves the definition up to a standard definition in the medical field, which includes hundreds of “philias” and “isms” and would be protected.

Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., a “hate crimes” supporter, confirmed that worry, saying:

This bill addresses our resolve to end violence based on prejudice and to guarantee that all Americans regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability or all of these ‘philias’ and fetishes and ‘ism’s’ that were put forward need not live in fear because of who they are. I urge my colleagues to vote in favor of this rule…”

President Obama, supported strongly during his campaign by homosexual advocates, appears ready to respond to their desires.

RedeemedHippie>>>[But of course Obama is ready; what can you expect from a man that calls evil good and good evil?]

“I urge members on both sides of the aisle to act on this important civil rights issue by passing this legislation to protect all of our citizens from violent acts of intolerance,” he said.

But Gohmert pointed out that if an exhibitionist flashes a woman, and she responds by slapping him with her purse, he has probably committed a misdemeanor while she has committed a federal felony hate crime.

“That’s how ludicrous this situation is,” Gohmert said.

According to published reports, the Senate Judiciary committee may be holding a hearing on the bill on Tuesday.

For only $10.95, any member of the public can send letters to all 100 senators, individually addressed and “signed” by the sender. The letters ask for a written response and call for opposition to the bill, including by filibuster if necessary.

RedeemedHippie>>>[For only $10.95? Somebody is making money off this. I would suggest we find another way to make them listen to us. I’m not giving them a cent. Write them seperately we have to.]

According to a staunch critic on “hate crimes” provisions, Rev. Ted Pike, “This is a ‘hearing’ to which no witnesses will probably be called. No troublesome Republican debate or amendments may be allowed.”

RedeemedHippie>>>[Obama is a liar. He said he would be a great unifier. He is a liar. This new administration is evil.]

Akers’ analysis said the bill would result in the federalization of “virtually every sexual crime in the United States.” And he said it appears to be part of an agenda that would relegate pro-family and traditional marriage advocates into the ranks of “terrorists.” Critics also hvae expressed alarm because in committee hearings Democrats admitted that a Christian pastor could be prosecuted under the law if he spoke biblically against homosexuality, someone heard the comments and then committed a crime.

“Under [the plan] the speech of a criminal defendant and the mere membership of the defendant in a given group may be used as evidence of his or her biased motive,” Akers said.

He said there’s already an effort afoot in the U.S. to list those pro-family organizations “alongside several neo-Nazi groups … to create guilt by the artificial manufactured appearance of association.”

The letter to senators being promoted by Porter, in part, says:

“I am writing to urge you to do all in your power to oppose passage of S.909, also known as ‘The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act.’

“Passage of this bill by the U.S. Senate would be reckless and irresponsible not only because of the ‘chilling effect’ it would have on First Amendment-guaranteed rights to free speech, but also because it would provide, for the first time ever, special legal protections for pedophiles and other sexual offenders.

“If there was ever a time for the Senate to stand and fight with a filibuster, that time is now. We are calling for members of the Senate, Republicans and Democrats alike, to stop S. 909.
“While the bill’s supporters have very effectively framed the bill as one that will protect victims from criminal acts, the bill actually has very little to do with protection,” Akers wrote.

“The bill does not merely provide stiffer penalties for certain crimes but, rather, represents a substantive and fundamental shift away from the American ideas of free speech and God-given immutable equality and toward the European ideas of state approved speech, state endorsed morality, state-given egality,” he said.

Foremost, the bill simply ignores the 14th Amendment requirements that all citizens be protected equally, providing special protections for homosexuals and others with alternative sexual lifestyle choices, he said.

Matt Barber, also of Liberty Counsel, wrote in a commentary, “Not only is this legislation constitutionally dubious on First Amendment grounds, and a prima facie violation of Fourteenth Amendment required ‘equal protection of the laws;’ it also flies in the face of the Tenth Amendment, which explicitly limits the federal government’s authority in such matters to those powers delegated by the U.S. Constitution.”

“To illustrate the point, one need look only to the most famous supposed ‘hate crimes’ victim of all, Matthew Shepard, who, as it later turned out, was killed during a robbery for drug money gone awry,” he wrote. “This fact notwithstanding, the left continues to disgracefully politicize Shepard’s memory by claiming he was murdered simply for being ‘gay.’ … The bizarre irony is palpable. The two thugs who killed Shepard are currently serving life sentences for their crimes – and rightfully so – in the complete absence of any discriminatory and unnecessary ‘hate crimes’ legislation,” he said.

During arguments in the House while the plan was being adopted, lawmakers pointed out the representatives were voting for protection for “all 547 forms of sexual deviancy or ‘paraphilias’ listed by the American Psychiatric Association.”

Porter cited the amendment offering from Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, in committee that was very simple:

The term sexual orientation as used in this act or any amendments to this act does not include pedophilia.
But majority Democrats refused to accept it.

“Having reviewed cases as an appellate judge, I know that when the legislature has the chance to include a definition and refuses, then what we look at is the plain meaning of those words,” explained Gohmert. “The plain meaning of sexual orientation is anything to which someone is orientated. That could include exhibitionism, it could include necrophilia (sexual arousal/activity with a corpse) … it could include Urophilia (sexual arousal associated with urine), voyeurism. You see someone spying on you changing clothes and you hit them, they’ve committed a misdemeanor, you’ve committed a federal felony under this bill. It is so wrong.”

Ann Coulter: Watching MSNBC is torture

In Truth Speakers on May 8, 2009 at 10:53 am

The media wail about “torture,” but are noticeably short on facts.

Liberals try to disguise the utter wussification of our interrogation techniques by constantly prattling on about “the banality of evil.”

Um, no. In this case, it’s actually the banality of the banal.

Start with the fact that the average Gitmo detainee has gained 20 pounds in captivity. There’s even a medical term for it now: “the Gitmo gut.” Some prisoners have been heard whispering, “If you think Allah is great, you should try these dinner rolls.”

In terms of “torture,” there was “the attention grasp,” which you have seen in every department store you have ever been where a mother was trying to get her misbehaving child’s attention. If “the attention grasp” doesn’t work, the interrogators issue a stern warning: “Don’t make me pull this car over.”

Further up the parade of horribles was “walling,” which I will not describe except to say Eliot Spitzer paid extra for it.

And for the most hardened terrorists, CIA interrogators had “the caterpillar.” Evidently, the terrorists have gotten so fat on the food at Guantanamo, now they can’t even outrun a caterpillar.

Contrary to MSNBC hosts who are afraid of bugs, water and their own shadows, waterboarding was most definitely not a “war crime” for which the Japanese were prosecuted after World War II – no matter how many times Mrs. Jonathan Turley, professor of cooking at George Washington University, says so.

All MSNBC hosts and guests were apparently reading “Little Women” rather than military books as children and therefore can be easily fooled about Japanese war crimes. (MSNBC: The Official Drama Queen Network of the 2012 Olympics.)

Given what the Japanese did to prisoners, waterboarding would be a reward for good behavior.

It might be: Waterboarding PLUS amputating the prisoner’s healthy arm, or waterboarding PLUS killing the prisoner. But waterboarding on the order of what we did at Guantanamo would be a reward in a Japanese POW camp.

To claim that the Japanese – architects of the Bataan Death March – were prosecuted for “waterboarding” would be like saying Ted Bundy was executed for engaging in sexual harassment.

What the Japanese did to their POWs made even the Nazis blanch. The Japanese routinely beheaded and bayoneted prisoners; forced prisoners to dig their own graves and then buried them alive; amputated prisoners’ healthy arms and legs, one by one, for sport; force-fed prisoners dry rice and then filled their stomachs with water until their bowels exploded; and injected them with chemical weapons in order to observe, time and record their death throes before dumping them in mass graves.

While only 4 percent of British and American troops captured by German or Italian forces died in captivity, 27 percent of British and American POWs captured by the Japanese died in captivity. Japanese war crimes were so atrocious that even rape was treated as only a secondary war crime in the Tokyo trial, similar to what happens during an R. Kelly trial.

The Japanese “water cure” was to “waterboarding” as practiced at Guantanamo what rape at knifepoint is to calling your secretary “honey.”

The Japanese version of “waterboarding” was to fill the prisoner’s stomach with water until his stomach was distended – and then pound on his stomach, causing the prisoner to vomit.

Or they would jam a stick into the prisoner’s nose so he could breathe only through his mouth and then pour water in his mouth so he would choke to death.

Or they would “waterboard” the prisoner with saltwater, which would kill him.

Meanwhile, the alleged “torture” under the Bush administration consists of things like:

  • “failing to respect a Serbian national holiday”; or
  • “forgetting to wear plastic gloves while handling a Quran.”

Finding out who started the tall tale about “waterboarding” being treated as a war crime after World War II would take the talents of a forensic historian, someone like Christina Hoff Sommers.

After years of hearing the feminist “fact” that emergency room admissions for women beaten by their husbands soared by 40 percent on Super Bowl Sundays, Sommers traced it back to an unsubstantiated rumination erupting from a feminist rap session.

But the lunatic claim was passed around with increasing credibility until it ended up being cited as hard fact in the New York Times, the Boston Globe and on “Good Morning America.”

One of the earliest entries in the “waterboarding as war crimes” myth must be this October 2006 article in the Washington Post, citing a case raised by Sen. Teddy Kennedy – and heaven knows Kennedy understands the horrors of a near-drowning:

“Twenty-one years earlier, in 1947, the United States charged a Japanese officer, Yukio Asano, with war crimes for carrying out another form of waterboarding on a U.S. civilian. The subject was strapped on a stretcher that was tilted so that his feet were in the air and head near the floor, and small amounts of water were poured over his face, leaving him gasping for air until he agreed to talk.”

Even if that description of what Asano did were true – and it isn’t – the only relevant word in the entire paragraph is “civilian.”

Any mistreatment of a civilian is a war crime. So every other part of that paragraph is utterly irrelevant to the treatment of prisoners of war, much less non-uniformed enemy combatants at Guantanamo, who could have been shot on sight under the laws of war.

What Americans need to understand is that under liberals’ own “laws of war,” they will invent apocryphal incidents from history in order to give aid and comfort to America’s enemies and to undermine those who kept us safe for the past eight years.

Texas Doctor Claims Swine Flu Cases Far Worse Than Reported

I do not like sensationalism. I don’t want to be part of it. Yet, if there is any truth in the following article, I would sound an alarm to my readers. I can not verify it. I offer it to you just in case there is any truth in it. Take it and do what you will with it.

Texas Doctor Claims Swine Flu Cases Far Worse Than Reported, Level 6 Pandemic In Effect.
Up to 25 times more victims than official figure, hospitals overwhelmed, virus already at level 6 pandemic phase.

A doctor in Texas claims that swine flu cases are at least ten times worse than officials are letting on, and that hospitals are becoming overwhelmed as the virus has already crossed the threshold to be considered a phase 6 global pandemic.

Dr. Marcus Gitterle, an emergency medicine physician based out of New Braunfels, Texas, sent out an internal alert which contains several stunning claims about swine flu that, if true, officials have presumably sought to keep from the public.

“After I returned from a public health meeting yesterday with community leaders and school officials in Comal County and Hays County, (name removed) suggested I send an update to my patients in the area, because what we are hearing privately from the CDC and Health Department is different from what you are hearing in the media,” writes Gitterle.

The doctor claims that the actual number of confirmed cases of swine flu is 10 to 25 times worse than has been reported, and that people are not recovering easily, as has been claimed, but that many Americans are in fact seriously ill.

“The way they fudge on reporting this is that it takes 3 days to get the confirmatory nod from the CDC on a given viral culture, but based on epidemiological grounds, we know that there are more than 10 cases for each “confirmed” case right now,” claims Gitterle.

“This has not been in the media, but a 23 month old in Houston is fighting for his life, and a pregnant woman just south of San Antonio is fighting for her life,” he writes.

Gitterle’s mention of a “23 month old in Houston” obviously refers to the Mexican toddler who died on Monday night and was announced as the first U.S. fatality on Tuesday morning.

Quick access to drugs like Tamiflu and Relenza, as well as ventilators, is preventing fatalities on the scale of Mexico, but Gitterle warns that “within a couple of weeks, regional hospitals will likely become overwhelmed”.

Gitterle warns, “ER’s south of here are becoming overwhelmed — and I mean that — already. It is coming in waves, but the waves are getting bigger.”

The doctor states that the severity of the situation has already crossed the threshold of the definition of a WHO phase 6 pandemic. “This has not happened in any of our lifetimes so far. We are in uncharted territory,” he writes.

Gitterle claims that President Obama is being advised to declare a national emergency and that this could happen within the next 48 hours.

“This may not happen, but if it doesn’t, I will be surprised. When this happens, all public gathering will be cancelled for 10 days minimum,” writes the doctor.

Gitterle advises people to avoid all public gatherings, especially those held indoors, to avoid going to their ER if they feel ill, and to take the nutritional supplements N-Acetyl-Cysteine and Oscillococinum.

Conservative Hippie>>>[He advises to avoid going to their ER if they feel ill? To take nutritional supplements? What is wrong with this picture?]

He recommends Relenza as a more powerful drug than Tamiflu but warns that supplies of both drugs are running out fast.

Conservative Hippie>>>[That’s fine IF you can get the drugs. something tells me not every body will get it if needed. There will be rationing and only those they choose will get it. The Obama administration has already said (weeks ago) that the elderly, under his healthcare will NOT receive a lot of healthcare. Why? Becaue they have lived their life. Healthcare will be manily for the young.]

The doctor states that swine flu is infectious for about two days prior to symptom onset and that the virus can spread for more than seven days after symptom onset. The symptoms are the same as normal flu, although it has been discovered that swine flu causes a distinctive “hoarseness” in many victims.

“Since it is such a novel (new) virus, there is no “herd immunity,” so the “attack rate” is very high. This is the percentage of people who come down with a virus if exposed. Almost everyone who is exposed to this virus will become infected, though not all will be symptomatic. That is much higher than seasonal flu, which averages 10-15%. The “clinical attack rate” estimation from CDC and WHO may be around 40-50%. This is the number of people who show symptoms. This is a huge number. It is hard to convey the seriousness of this to those outside of the medical fields,” he writes.
